The next time that you happen to find yourself in beautiful Miami, Florida, and you suddenly are hit with a craving for the perfectly prepared hotdog, make sure that you note D-Doghouse Restaurant & Bar. The restaurant was recently opened on Saturday, May 5th, and probably was one of the few restaurants celebrating for reasons other than Cinco de Mayo. Upon entering the restaurant, you will notice that it imbues a refined atmosphere, one that hints at the disco era of decades past with a fun, warm and rich ambience that is simply entertaining and unique.

Patrons start out by choosing their table. Each table features a color-changing table top, like a dance floor at your favorite disco esplanade. Once you have selected the table of your preference, don’t fret over paper menus or laminated menus. D-Doghouse doesn’t use them. Instead, gorgeous iPad menus by Aptito adorn every single table top, and serve to further augment the retro-feel and vibe with a modern day technological marvel that takes ordering and the customer experience to the next level.

Browse through high definition pictures of the featured menus items by merely touching them on the screen, where you can learn more about the item, its price and other details, as well as view a picture of the entrée – in this case: the gourmet hot dog (or sandwich). Guests can also select their language preference, choosing between English or Spanish.

Once you are done adding the menu items of your choice, you can select your payment method and then tender payment with a credit card (which you simply swipe on the iPad via integrated iPad POS) or cash (by requesting a check via the iPad menu). In the future, D-Doghouse plans on fully implementing an iPad POS system, which can securely store credit cards on file. Once users log into the account they’ve created – which only they can access – in the future, they can simply pay using an existing payment method, thanks to the intelligent iPad menu and iPad POS system that is offered at D-Doghouse, by Aptito, Inc; which means that you could use your iPad menu e-wallet in the future at D-Doghouse to pay for your next meal.

The wait for your hotdog – which is not really all that long – is half the fun. While you are enjoying the sequin environment that is truly signature for any hotdog palace, feel free to surf the web on your iPad menu. Get in touch with your best friends on Facebook. Or order songs on the juke box that are played throughout the surround sound system in the restaurant. It’s a hotdog dining experience that is truly second-to-none.

D-Doghouse features 16 different types of specialty hotdogs and sandwiches to entice patrons and whet their palettes, all reasonably priced below $10. The restaurant also features a full bar.
