Want Pizza? Pizza Hut Has Three More Order Food Apps for That2 min read

In a press release on PRNewswire earlier this year, Pizza Hut announced that it has expanded its line-up of mobile order food apps. The Texas-based national chain said its order food app “trifecta” raises the industry bar for mobile order food apps and gives its customers more access points than any other national pizza chain.

When Pizza Hut introduced their original iPhone order food app in 2009, it was the first national pizza chain to do so. Since then, Pizza Hut says its iPhone order food app has been downloaded by more than 3 million customers.

The iPhone order food app was a winner, ranking in first place on Forbes’ list of “10 best branded mobile apps of 2009” and garnering two Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) 2009 Global Awards. But users of other mobile platforms felt left out; they wanted order food apps that would let them order Pizza Hut selections from their devices, too.

Pizza Hut responded by leading the industry in developing order food apps for iPad users; it became the first to offer a full-featured order food app optimized for the iPad. It also improved its original iPhone order food app.

All three of Pizza Hut’s new order food apps add enhanced features to those that delighted users of the award-winning original iPhone order food app: they feature the entire Pizza Hut menu, present customers with exclusive mobile-only offers, have “guest pass” and “guest checkout” features that allow new customers to order without registering and pay by credit card without first having to set up a Pizza Hut account, and facilitate fast, one-touch re-ordering by saving prior orders to registered customers’ accounts.

The newest addition to Pizza Hut’s mobile lineup of order food apps, the new ‘lifestyle’ iPad order food app presents each of the menu items in mouthwatering, high-definition color; has great sound-effects; and comes with a fun, new pizza-builder feature that lets iPad users drag-and-drop individual toppings on part or all of the pizza to create their “own delicious pizza masterpieces” and see what their personalized pizza creation looks like before placing their order.

Pizza Hut said it plans to launch an order food app for Windows 7 smartphone later this year.
